General Questions
Is Popcorn Junction a franchise?
Popcorn Junction is not a franchise and is not affiliated with any other gourmet popcorn shops. While there are many similarities between Popcorn Junction and other companies in the popcorn industry, we believe that our commitment to product quality and customer service sets us apart from our competitors.
Do you plan on franchising in the future?
Although Popcorn Junction continues to grow and establish itself in more markets, we do not have any plans to offer franchise opportunities to individuals at this time. Our current plan is to continue improving our existing business operations and offer customers an even better product!
What do you charge to ship online orders?
Shipping to all other areas of the United States will be calculated based on order weight and region. All orders will ship within 3-5 business days via USPS or UPS, whichever is chosen during the check out process.
Popcorn & Procedures
How does Popcorn Junction get such large kernels?
Popcorn Junction gourmet popcorn uses a blend of Mushroom kernels mixed with a small amount of Butterfly kernels. Unlike many popcorn shops, we continuously test different varieties of popcorn to ensure that our gourmet popcorn is the biggest in the industry!
Do you make all of your popcorn in-store?
Yes! Every batch of Popcorn Junction gourmet popcorn starts from the seed and every kernel is made fresh at our retail locations.
What makes popcorn pop?
Every single kernel of popcorn has a tiny drop of water inside. When paired with heat and oil, the water molecules expand causing the kernel to explode!
Is your popcorn gluten free?
Yes. We guarantee that all of our popcorn flavors (except specialty chocolates) are gluten free. While most of our chocolate flavors are gluten free, some of them are not. Please ask which flavors are not gluten free prior to ordering if this is a concern.
Does your popcorn contain nuts?
The vast majority of our popcorn is nut free. We understand the seriousness of food allergies so here are the details of our cooking procedure... We pop our popcorn using coconut oil. The only products that are made with nuts are our caramels with nuts (pecan, cashew, almond and peanut) and some of our chocolate flavors (peanut butter chocolate, puppy chow, Butterfinger and Almond Joy). All of our products are produced on equipment that has been shared with tree nuts and peanuts; however, we do take serious cleaning precautions between production and use of this equipment.
Do you have nutritional information for your popcorn?
We do not currently have this information available. With that being said, we do hope to have nutritional information available to our customers in the near future.
How long does your popcorn last?
We pop most flavors fresh every single day. Below are our suggested use-by dates sorted by flavor type:
Butter popcorn- 3 days
Cheese popcorn- 7 to 12 days
Caramel or candy popcorn- Up to 8 weeks
Chocolate popcorn- Up to 8 weeks
Popcorn from large retailers is good for up to 6 months, why does your popcorn expire sooner?
While our popcorn is edible for up to 6 months, we cannot guarantee that our popcorn will retain its freshness past our recommended use-by dates. We use a minimal amount of preservatives in our popcorn to increase its quality and consumer safety.
Specialty Orders
What are the requirements for custom flavor and color orders?
In order to purchase custom colored popcorn you must buy at least one XL bag. There is also a $5 fee for each custom color. We will need 3 days notice prior to making a custom color, and during peak holiday seasons, we require up to 2 weeks advance notice. Pre-payment is required on all custom colors.
Do you have a Flavor of the Week or Month?
We do not commit to a flavor of the week or month, but we do offer a Popcorn of the Month club (currently unavailable). We also offer seasonal flavors and mixes during the holidays.
Fundraisers and Donations
Does Popcorn Junction participate in fundraisers?
Yes, Popcorn Junction does participate in fundraisers. Please click here if you are interested in having our brand participate in your organization's fundraising event.
Does Popcorn Junction provide donations to events?
Popcorn Junction is happy to participate in local area non-profit organizations. We try to help as many groups as possible, but we are not always able to participate in events. In order for us to provide a donation we require notification 3-6 months in advance. All organizations must show proof of 501c status. There are no exceptions.
My organization is Tax Exempt. Do you honor this?
Yes, we do require your form to be kept on file at the store. You can send in your form when you place an order or bring it to the store at the time of pick up. There are no exceptions. Tax exemption will not be granted without a form.
